Learning Outcome 1&2 – Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to learning using technology /Demonstrate knowledge and skills in current and emerging instructional technologies.

In personal experience the needs of the learners is the essence of teaching. There are many accommodations that teachers executed why teaching. When there are tables that need to be adjusted for special need children. Then there is adjustment to curriculum for those who have impaired. Then when it comes to designed curriculum and instruction has to be adjusted to meet the needs of all learners. Technology open the door to help educators find ways that is suitable to enhance learning. “More than half the people in our nation—and 65 percent of our children—are now online. The latest research from the U.S. Department of Commerce puts the current growth rate for Internet use at 2 million new users per month, with children and teens being the fastest growing group of new users (Economics and Statistics Administration, 2002). As a country, we now use the Internet for business transactions, shopping, entertainment, information searches, communication and of course, learning. In January 2001, the Web-Based Education Commission reported that this increased use “is bringing rapid and radical change into our lives—from the wonderfully beneficial to the terrifyingly difficult” (Kerry & Isakson, 2001, p. i). The challenge to educators is to help students develop the 21st century skills that enable them to fully realize technology’s most positive effects (Kerry & Isakson, 2001”). I redesigned a lesson activity for Sophomore College students. The topics is climate change and population.

Methods of instruction and Instructional strategies this lesson and activity is essentially designed as a lecture-discussion, reading and research internet for various topics, Individual students will participate in class presentation series.   The learning objectives for this unit is descript by 1. Students( Condition) will be able to categorize web search tools by their utility to (Performance) create a digital collage of the state of the natural environment depends on how the increase of population.(Criteria)Students will access information in a divided group and collect information to put a digital collage together.

  1. Students (Condition) will compare the regions of overly populated countries with the increase high levels of consumption in the natural environment. Students (Performance) will play the game The Fate of time http://www.gregniemeyer.com/ on uncontrolled long-term changes in living conditions on earth to calculator the use of natural resource and then in a growth form chart integrate a mobile version from (Criteria) Google Doc to calculator the steps of each member.
  2. Students will be able to discuss in WIKI discussion post of the uncontrolled long-term changes in living conditions on earth. Performance by utilized findings created a web blog. Criteria by created web blog to be publish. The technology integration be used to enhance instruction and research. In order to help students develop critical thinking skills, argumentative writing and discussion philosophy based on research. . Students will be able to categorize web search tools by their utility to create a timeline of the state of the natural environment depends on how society population.
  3. Students will compare the regions of overly populated countries with the increase high levels of consumption in natural environment

The objectives of this unit will be students will use previous information with what is learning through research of internet information and beginning to organize a digital collage that will allow them to see visually the impact of population and what it has to do with environment deficit. In the college students will create within a journal and discuss the years that the environment begins to take a turn in how it affect our way of life. This collage will be an ongoing process. Students will look at the health of America cause through the deficient of our Environment. Students will add to it daily information so that at the end of the unit. Students will be able to present to the class a multimedia presentation.

In the learning outcomes, students will demonstrate knowledge of what has been organized through their journals and discussion. The science and hypothesis and inductive generalization of how the effect of climate change and global warming has a valid probability to affect our lifetime. Collected data and other information that is related to the multimedia presentation. Students in comparing the overpopulation countries will give students a knowledge and analysis address the issue of overpopulation and what measure can be used to solved the problem. In the web blog, students will categorical propositional mixed syllogisms among the finding to present a Wiki page.

My Curriculum and Instruction will supports this unit activity and help develop learning styles that are being addressed. There in Bloom’s Taxonomy give me tools to access my students and to   make advancement in evaluate the students in knowledge, understanding, comprehension.  The development of reading skills are effective in all areas of learning’s I certain that reading developed vocabulary and also gives students the behavior to motivate students to deal with responsible in doing assignment. In other word reading open doors to make student make more wise decisions. The main point is to give student real life experience and to be able to recite the information their have learned. Theory of behaviorist has been referring me to choose these learning styles. I also used method of Motivation theory in choosing the game simulation. In my redesigned it was to show the different methods used for students to gather information. To also show how the principle of created a balance plan to ensure all learners to succeed.
