Learning Outcome 6&7 – Evaluate technology resources to facilitate effective assessment and evaluation/Utilize technology to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings.

‘Technology is the future’ this is a sign I  observed as my driver brought me back  from Chemotherapy and I begin to think is Technology   so powerful that the past is no more  and our future lies in a devices that was innovation to make life easily or just we have become too lazy that we just used our fingers to do things like buy grocery, find us a babysitter, watch movies, Yes time has changed and with this new find experience comes problems like ethical practices in the usage of technology. “One of the most important issues related to the acquisition or creation of instructional materials, especially in this age of computers and digital reproduction, is copyright. Copyright refers to the legal rights to an original work. Schools have an obligation, both under the law and from an ethical standpoint, to adhere to the law and to instruct students in proper behavior. The penalties for violation of copyright law can be severe, and, as a number of schools and businesses have found, publishers’ groups are willing to take action against organizations that are in violation. To avoid problems, schools should establish clear copyright policies and make those policies known to both teachers and students” (Newby, T. J.). In keeping with the learning outcome of MALT. I have a redesign this lesson plan to category   The ARCS Model of motivation was developed in response to a desire to find more effective ways of understanding the major influences on the motivation to learn, and for systematic ways of identifying and solving problems with learning motivation”.( Keller). The activity is in line with the purpose to help student’s motivation and effort in this task be generated and maintained. Through my teacher and Instructions and the engagement of lesson. I will be responsible for motivation to be eager to learn something new. My attempt this task in order to effectively select the material needed while maintaining the motivations of engagement and overcoming presented obstacles. To utilize positivity in the selection of technology that will allow my students to stay on task during critical thinking and problem solving by collaboration among their peers through discussion and feedback. To take a reflection of what task is needed in selected the appropriate education tool for students to gain knowledge and a better rational view of the unit and continue to build a strategy for ARCS Model of motivation to help students accomplish their goal.

The Audience

My group of learners is college students mostly sophomore and Junior Classification. Analyze studying current environment problems such as pollution and global warming. From a teacher perspective:  these are objectives that I will be looking to assess.  In this activity, students will be given guidelines on plagiarism and copyright and fair use.

 Redesign Activity

  1. Learners will be able to search the internet for topics that related to Environment and society. 2. Students will be able to recall certain issues and discuss a daily question about their findings.
  2. Prior knowledge students already know that will assist in this task. How to conduct research and organize information. Summarizes the findings.

The resources required reading and software, equipment is available and accessible. There is wireless internet and a lifestyle journal, and website resource.www.footprintnetwork.org.

What information should be included in the instructional materials /activities? Climate Resilience App and Community Resilience Inference Measurement App. These two App will be used for the duration of the project.   Even when using app guidelines ensure that students are using methods to avoid fair use.    Find problems from the ecological point of view that relate to the natural environment. Discuss why is the environment of interest to sociologists? Prepare a written assignment 4 pages about the discovered among Sociologists. Have activity that will show the relationship of Technology and the environmental deficit.

Students can use an EPA database of greenhouse gas emissions from large US sources to learn about the major greenhouse gasses, what industries they come from, and where these emission sources are located. Activities with being in comply with computer activity that will engage them to see the result of gasses they used daily.

What is the most effective, efficient and appealing manner in which to be learned task can be acquired by the students?  Research and lecture to make students begin to investigate information and compared data to now and core data that has already been establishing. Reported their finding in a 4-page paper.

In what order for the Motivation theory to be used the learning activities be sequenced. Incorporate after research to help students stay focus. To allow stimulus activity to help them see the relation of what they are learned and to be able to be a part of the participant of a hands-on activity.

What are the methods and media to assist students in learning the new information?  Watch a U-tube getting to the Core: Climate Change over Time National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) this is where Wiki takes places to gather the right information and put the input will take a group effort. There is also a video presentation to help them formulate their facts in a concrete research paper.

Are there relevant instructional materials that already exist for Motivation theory in complying a quiz will be given to test student’s comprehensions. Quiz consist of multiple choice matching or short answer format. Students are expected to research topic and presented their findings. Students will learn a variety of terms and concepts. Students are expected to participate in a class project.

What can be done to help this learning be transferred to similar situations? Demonstration and game simulation experiment.

Which materials will need some adaptation the technology aspect to make sure lecture and technology coexist? What materials will need to be created?  Required reading and to make sure Apps is useful by a critic the information it can relate. Troubleshooting game stimulation to make sure the level will encourage students to continue to the last level.

Learner (Student) perspective:

What is the goal of this task? To be able to recall important insight that effects the pollution, Urbanization, environment.  To be able to memorize threaten the natural environment. To be able to discuss a solution for global warming.

What am I supposed to learn? How to compose a timeline of recent events that has affected our environment. How to manager Wiki and displayed a certain of information to build a structure research paper.

What will I need to learn from this task, learning strategies assistance from other, time effort? How to perform and gather information in a group. To take ownership of participants. How to create an ecologically sustainable culture.

Educational Technology perspective through Motivational theory

In what ways can education technology impact how a student’s address learning tasks? It can enhance what has already been taught. It can simulation for future learning. Can engagement and systematic process assessment.” promoting in students an interest in learning, a valuing of education, and a confidence in their own capacities and attributes. These outcomes are manifestations of being intrinsically motivated and internalizing values and regulatory processes. Research suggests that these processes result in high-quality learning and conceptual understanding, as well as enhanced personal growth and adjustment” (Edward L).

In what ways can technologies effectively impact how a teacher designs and creates instructional materials? Provides a general context for analysis and reinforce structure for learning. Support resources. Student learning through applications and resource tools, regardless of the device. Help to cater to learning styles increase motivation and improved learning outcomes.

How students and teachers can improve learner attention and motivation through the use of technology. To embed real life situation with what you are trying to enforce in learning. Have a question and answer period on beginning tasks.  Have learning supported tools and troubleshooting for if a problem arises. Show how to used collaboration tools and clearly identify how the relationship of prior knowledge and tweet with future knowledge” “As I tried to point out, when students are not motivated to learn, we owe it to ourselves … Technology in its many forms is showing how teaching and learning can paint with a much broader palette of colors, from images … students enjoyed taking the exam more via computer and answered more questions … (Chen). In the Motivational theory to establish the use of technology not only will it engage a process of adaptable to create a learning environment that is sufficient of Motivation but also is informative of technology use of the ethical practice.            In completed the assignment my redesign was changed through how I choose to make sure students understand the format of usage of technology this is my redesign perception of technology.

Summary

How can Instructional technology improve the efficiency of students learning and teacher’s preparation of ethical practice? Trial and effort through practice skills to collect and how to research data. To be able to cite and use the format of APA references. To understand the knowledge of student embedding videos or images in their reports. To instructor how to give the properly reference of validation. To be able to know the difference of sources that are reliable. To use others person work through copyright infringe.  Have communication skills that can relate ideas from students and teachers and Facilitate social interaction.” approach begins with an analysis of relevant content standards, and uses evidence of “student performance to gauge areas of need. Professional development is evaluated using a combination of teacher reflection, classroom observation, and ongoing assessment of student performance” (Marx).  In this areas of presentation to have student aware of the do and don’t of ethical practices. The best advice is for teachers and students to treat digital media according to established fair use guidelines. That is, use of copyrighted material in digital format (text, graphics, audio, or video) is likely to be considered fair use when (1) the use is of an educational nature (e.g., part of classroom instruction, including student-created projects), (2) the material itself is educational in nature, (3) relatively little of the original material is used (and credit is given to the source of the materials), and (4) it is unlikely to detrimentally affect the market for the original materials. However, use or distribution beyond the classroom is a problem. So, for example, putting copyrighted materials on the Web without permission is almost certainly contrary to copyright law.”( Newby, T. J.). In changed the activity I had to edit certain technology and allow the student to presented a balance of how to used technology in the right way. The daily discussion was and add assignment so therefore I could see where they were in collected research. The game simulation to implement how they would participant in the theory of motivational. If the expression of engagement allows them to a participant of eagerness to see the project to the end. The option of different feature gave the student the participation of behavior and attitude, So the claim of an aspect of motivation theory does technology change attitudes. The answer yes and it also gives educator management authority. The roles of teacher and students change even when you implement the motivational theory.  The effort of ethical practice usage any technology assignment has to properly manage and monitor by the facilitator.
